Abarth is a world-renowned Italian racing car manufacturer headquartered in Turin, Italy. It was founded in 1949 by two automobile designers – Austrian-Italian Carlo Abarth and Italian Armando Scagliarini. In July 1971, Fiat successfully acquired the company and Abarth eventually became the racing department of Fiat under the supervision of Aurelio Lampredi.

Abarth is rated among the most esteemed racing car brands in the world. A few of its most famous models include Abarth Punto Evo, Abarth 500 and Abarth 500C.

Shape of the Abarth Logo

The Abarth logo is widely regarded as one of the memorable and instantly recognizable car logos in history. It comprises of a shield insignia which fosters the notion of passion and triumph. The scorpion depicted inside the shield reflects Scorpio, the astrological sign of the company’s founder Karl Alberto Abarth, who was born on November 15th, 1908.

Colors of the Abarth Logo

The Abarth logo features red, white and green stripes, the same colors found in the flag of Italy. The red and yellow colors that make up the shield make a reference to the immense passion, intensity, energy and joy of the racing arena.

The font that appears in the Abarth logo is a marginally modified form of the Microgramma Bold D Extended typeface.
