FC Bayern Munich (Fußball-Club Bayern München e.V.) is an immensely popular German football club. Based in Munich, Bavaria, it was founded on 27 February 1900 by Pritzwalk-born photographer Franz John, who also served as the club’s president from 1900 to 1903. The club is regarded among the most famous, valuable and successful football clubs in the history of Germany, having won 23 national titles and 16 national cups.

Their current home stadium is Allianz Arena, which they share with TSV 1860 München.
